New pictures and poses to download: Picture Pack contains 6 separate pictures for in your Sims homes and Swimsuit Edition Pose Pack has 4 beach scene poses for photoshoots or comps. They were made with the intention of your posed Sim to be "cut out" from original in game background.
The easiest way I have found to cut them (Sim) out is to make sure the flooring and wall color are of similar color and lighter/darker than the clothing on your Sim. Example: if your Sim is wearing Black top and white or light colored bottom, I would make the wall white and the flooring a darker color such as black or dark blue. I then put my picture to Photoshop (I use PhCS6), create a duplicate copy (layer), close the main image leaving only the duplicate image open and use the magic wand and eraser or sometimes I will use the eraser "to remove background" tool. I then use filters to enhance the photo of my sim if necessary. I save that image as .png then bring it up in Gimp to do any further removal of any background. Save it again as a .png. Bring the background image I want to put my Sim on in Photoshop and then go to File> place and then place my Sim on the background. Click the check mark and then do any fixings to the photo. I then merge my two images together and save.
Another way if you are happy with how the background removal came out and don't want to do anymore, have both your Sim and background image you want your Sim on open in Photoshop. After removing the background from your Sim, Left click on Sim > drag over to background image > release and go into Edit > transform >scale (if need be) and place Sim where and how you want them on the image. Make sure both images are open, click on top image (the one you just placed), right click and select Merge Visible from the drop down menu. Save your photo. (If you find you don't like what you have done or something needs tweaking, just go up to Edit and select Step Backwards. This will undo the previous step)
And that's how I cut out my Sims. I do know that some steps may not be necessary, but it all falls on each individuals way of doing things.
